Mobile Library: Info-to-Go
The “library on wheels” brings resources and more than 4,000 items directly to cardholding residents of Burlington County, including books in regular print and large print, children's books, audio
books, DVDs, and CDs. Eligible residents* are invited to use the Mobile Library, which is equipped with a wheelchair lift.
The Mobile Library provides services to many parts of the county. A regular BCLS card is needed to use this service. You may register for a card when you visit the Mobile Library if you do not
already have one.
Borrowing Guidelines
Residents of Burlington County are eligible for a BCLS card. Residents from the exempt areas* can obtain a non-resident card for $50 per year.
A library card is issued with proper identification and may be used on the Mobile Library and at any BCLS branch or member location.
A fee of $2 will be charged for the replacement of a lost card.
Borrowing Procedures
• You may borrow 35 items per card
• Books are on loan for a four-week period
• Audio books are on loan for a two-week period.
• DVDs are on loan for a one-week period.
• Cardholders may renew items up to two times
Reservations
Most materials available for circulation can be provided via the Mobile Library. Customers may submit a written request to the staff or place their own holds remotely, using our online catalog. If
the materials cannot be obtained in the Burlington County Library System, the library will try to borrow it from another library. There is a $3 transaction fee for Interlibrary Loans. Customers will
be notified by phone when the requested item is available for pickup.
*BCLS is funded by a dedicated library tax. The county library tax is paid by 37 of 40 municipalities. Willingboro, Mount Laurel and Moorestown each fund their own libraries.
